WIRELESS REPAIRED

WIRELESS REPAIRED

November 2007

I own HP Pavilion dv5226ca, running Windows XP Home Edition, with an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG driver.

I too had problems with the wireless connection.

The computer indicated that my wireless network connection was unavailable after resuming from standby, and my wireless driver was deleted from the device manager.

I have HP Automatic Updates turned on, and this started happening immediately after my last BIOS and drivers update.

I tinkered with the drivers and settings for a long time. I rolled back every driver I could. I altered every setting I was capable of after reading different posts all over the internet. I flashed my BIOS with preceding versions. Nothing worked.

I fixed it this morning.

I flashed the BIOS with the oldest version I found on the HP website: May 2006.

My computer is resuming like new.
