4500G VLANS

Trying to add this switch to existing network behind the firewall/router. IP address of existing router is 172.17.0.100 I want to create VLAN's to break this up. I want the majority of the devices to remain with there default gateway of 172.17.0.100. I would imagine I need to just change the router address to 172.17.0.1 but am having issues. Here's what I've done

I created VLAN 100

then created VLAN Interface 100 for IP 172.17.0.100 /16

created VLAN 200

created VLAN Interface 200 for IP 192.168.200.1 /24

added default gateway 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.17.0.1

Added access ports to appropriate switch ports.

Devices in the 172.17.0.0 /16 network can access the Internet

Devices on the 192.168.200.1 can not access the Internet. They can ping the 172.17.0.100 IP but not the router address 172.17.0.1

What am I missing to get devices on other VLANs to the outside network?

Re: 4500G VLANS

Thanks... that what it was. I had missed the static route on the router to the new network..
