Re: 5900 JC772A "airflow direction is not preferred"
Hi
I see a weird issue with Slot2 fans. I set to preferred direction 'Power-to-Port' for slot2 but I see that change happened only to FAN2 but not to FAN1 ?
Any ideas please ?

Re: 5900 JC772A "airflow direction is not preferred"
Slot 2
FAN 1
State : FanDirectionFault <---------------------------
Wind Direction :Power-to-Port
Prefer Wind Direction :Port-to-Power
As you can see you have configured Port-to-Power as preferred direciton while the device you have in Slot2 FAN 1 is a Power-to-Port one.
So get the proper PSU (or if this is in a fanbox) and you should resolve that warning.

Re: 5900 JC772A "airflow direction is not preferred"
It looks like Fan 1 and Fan 2 are two different variants (Front-back, BF). That will be a problem and needs to be rectified - they must both be the same time in the switch.

Re: 5900 JC772A "airflow direction is not preferred"
[FF30M2]fan prefer-direction s 1 ?
port-to-power From port to power
power-to-port From power to port
[FF30M2]fan prefer-direction s 1 port-to-power
[FF30M2]save
[FF30M2]display fan
Slot 1:
Fan 1:
State : Normal
Airflow Direction: Port-to-power
Prefer Airflow Direction: Port-to-power
Fan 2:
State : Normal
Airflow Direction: Port-to-power
Prefer Airflow Direction: Port-to-power
The configuration is dynamic in that it will be effective immediately and the fan status will within a minute reflectthe change.
