Backup HP 5580 to FTP server

Hi,
I need to backup the configuration file of a HP 5580 (HP 5820AF 24XG).
I can't find a way to backup the switch configuration.
I would do it to a FTP server.

Is it possible?

IIRC FTP is not an option, but you can push the config to a tftp, or push or pull the config with scp.

Federico,

All you need to do is save the configuration, and then from the user level, the prompt with the >, you can use ftp, tftp, or sftp commands to copy the configuration off.

If you have enabled the ftp or tftp server, you could pull the file.  Set up a local-user account with the ftp, tftp, or both service-types and you should be good to go.  I would recommend using sftp to encrypt the configuration file in transit.  Check to be sure that your SSH setup is working correctly.

thanks so much for your answare!
You are right, it works fine with a TFTP server.

I not have found a way about authentication process before to begin backup of HPE switch configuration, but it is fine for me due to I filter on TFTP server using source IP address.

The last doubt that I have is this:
Is it possible backup configuration using a custom name that has got timestamp?

I would create a backup job that runs every day automatically.
