Connect 5900 flexfabirc to cisco switches cisco switches stop working
HI Folks
I have HP 5900 series core switches and HP 5310 switches if I create a trunk on the 5310 and link it to the cisco 2950 the switches work no issues they can see themselves
But when I connect the Core 5900 to the 5130 the link between the 5310 and cisco 2950 dies just ports are admin down,
STP on the core is PVST
STP is Global enabled on all switches
CIsco config is a Trunk Port
HP 5310 is also a trunk port
as soon as I connec the Core I get topolgy changes on the port and the link to the cisco stops. ANy Ideas..

Re: Connect 5900 flexfabirc to cisco switches cisco switches stop working
Hi,
What does the logs say?
Which switch shuts the link Is it the 5130 or is it the Cisco 2950.
How are the trunks configured?
Also the state "admin down" worries me. Normally "Admin down" means the interface is configured to be down, (as opposed to some dynamic protocol disabling the interface i.e STP, DLDP, etc ) . Do you have some SDN-like management center that can trigger a configuration of your ports?
Regards.

Network Topology please (who is connected with? in which way? configurations?)...a simple hand made drawing with all involved main actors (switches) should suffice...other than what @sdide already asked you.
