CPU-Usage A5120-SI
Hi,
I have noticed a strange behaviour of an A5120-SI switch. OK, the behaviour seems strange to me. :-)
If I check CPU-Usage on a new switch, I get approx. 5%. If I plug in a SFP module it raises to approx. 12%, a second one lets it raise to approx. 20%, and a third one to approx. 27%. Is this behaviour by design? The switch is not connected to anything and not configured. The same CPU-Usage shows up on a A5120-SI with three SFPs in an IRF fabric. The software installed on the switch is Comware Version 5.20 Release 1505P07, the latest available.
Regards, Leonardo

Re: CPU-Usage A5120-SI
Digging into the CPU-Usage issue we could find out that the "DrvT" task ist consuming CPU time (see attached .jpg screenshots).
Any ideas?

Re: CPU-Usage A5120-SI
Hi
Yes, this is usual. I discovered this on several devices.
The explenation of the R&D was, that they have to poll the up/down-state of the sfp links every ms to react to changes.
