Enabling MAC Filtering in 4200 switch
Hi,
Hope everyone is fine and doing well. Please help me out in resolving the issue.
We are using 3com switch "Switch 4200". I need to enable the MAC filtering on this switch so that only the MAC addresses we have provided can access the network & any other device which is not in the list is denied access and also I got an alert about DUD device.
I have connected to the web interface and seen that there is an option of Port security, But I am little confused in the option provided i.e. 1. No security 2. Learning off 3. Continuous Learning etc. I am not sure which one to select, I just want that we add all the mac addresses of systems we are using so that all these system can access network but any other mac address device will be denied.
Can you guyz help me out i.e. what are the exact steps? I will be thankful to you. Your prompt response will be appreciated
