						Hi,
you should use a console connection, and log-in like that :
Login authentication
Username:admin
Password:(default is no password)
<5500G-EI>sys
System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
display interface Vlan-interface 1
Vlan-interface1 current state :UP
Line protocol current state :UP
IP Sending Frames' Format is PKTFMT_ETHNT_2, Hardware address is 001e-c174-c481
Internet Address is 192.168.150.252/24 Primary
Description : Vlan-interface1 Interface
The Maximum Transmit Unit is 1500
If nothing is configure, you need to type this :
interface Vlan-interface 1
ip address 1.2.3.4 255.255.255.0
(use your address and mask)
then add your default route :
ip route-static 0.0.0.0 0 192.168.0.254
(with the last address beeing your default-router)
Have fun with your 3com switch :)
