How to view Cipher Password
Hi there,
I am trying to get view the ciphered user password on a HP switch. When I do a display current config is there a command to view the config showing the Cipher password as readable? I know Ive done it on Cisco before but just enquiring here as I need to get into enable mode? I do not want to do a password recovery on a stack switch at the moment.
Kind regards

Re: How to view Cipher Password
Hello prodigy811,
If you have access to the switch you may just create another user with the same rights.
Also you may change for this user if you have the rights to edit the config.
Hope this helps!

Re: How to view Cipher Password
Hi @prodigy811
I am afraid that you cannot view cipher password .
As @-Alex- suggest if you have access to switch ,create a new local user or edit the password in configuration.
I work for HPE
