HPE 5700 32XGT 8XG 2QSFP+ - End of Support

Hi guys,

I've been looking for this information but couldn't find it.

Can anyone please let me know what is the EOS date for this switch?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the effort, but none of the links is answering my exact question.

The closest answer I found is that you have 5 years after the end of sale.

Hi @guygreen !

I am sorry if my answer was something like "RTFM"-style one, it wasn't my original intent.

So, your initial question was "Can anyone please let me know what is the EOS date for this switch?" By  'EOS' you seem to mean End of Support, at least the same term is stated in the Subject of your message.

Let's see what is the situation with this switch.

According this doc https://techlibrary.hpe.com/docs/products/eos/Select%20HPE%205700%20Switch%20Products%20-%20External%20-%20June%202019.pdf the End of Sale date is January 31, 2020.

And as per this one https://techlibrary.hpe.com/us/en/networking/products/eos/information.aspx the End of Engineering Support is 5 years after the End of Sale date

So yes, you understood it correctly, the HPE 5700 32XGT 8XG 2QSFP+ should be supported till Jan 2025 if there will be no changes, as HPE has the right to change that policy, as stated:

However, this is not a guarantee of ongoing feature development or software maintenance by HPE. At HPE's sole discretion, product enhancement requests may be considered and fulfilled after the End of Sale date for a product.

I hope now you have the answer you were looking for.
