HP 5920 full flash / Saving configuration failed due to lack of space resources

my flash is full and i do not know how to resolve this issue.

no sure what i can delete safley and ehat the correct command is.

below id a dir /all of the flash.

this is for a HP 5920

any help hreatly appreacated

Well, can you post (sanitized: MAC Address/Serial Number trimmed) outputs of both display version and display boot-loader commands?

Generally unused (old) bin files - system and boot - can be definitely deleted (not simply trashed) [*] from your HP 5920 Flash area...in your case I suspect those old files would be, respectively:

• 5900_5920-cmw710-boot-r2307.bin
• 5900_5920-cmw710-system-r2307.bin

but to be totally sure outputs of commands cited above are required...indeed...if you're planning to update to latest R2432P06-US then also your other three files:

• 5900_5920-CMW710-R2432P03-US.ipe
• 5900_5920-cmw710-boot-r2432p03-US.bin
• 5900_5920-cmw710-system-r2432p03-US.bin

can be deleted provided that you don't reboot the Switch before beginning the update to latest R2432P06-US (deleting current system/boot bin files has no impact on running configuration IF THE SWITCH IS NOT REBOOTED and sometime is necessary to make room for the 5900_5920-CMW710-R2432P06-US.ipe file you need to place in the Flash area).

[*] using delete /unreserved filename command.

Hi, given current running software version you can safely erase respectively:

5900_5920-cmw710-boot-r2307.bin
5900_5920-cmw710-system-r2307.bin

and also file the ipe file:

5900_5920-CMW710-R2432P03-US.ipe

Doing so you should have enough space to deploy new ipe. In any case if I were you I'll set backup software images too.
