HPN 5900 - does it support L3 routing - BGP/vrf lite?

HPN 5900 - does it support L3 routing - BGP/vrf lite?

I am trying to configure bgp and vrf lite on a pair of 5900's in an IRF cluster. According to the config guides this should work but I cannot seem to get any layer 3 routing to work. Do the 5900's support L3 routing?
