LACP across multiple switches. 2910al
Hello,
i am wondering if the 2910al supports LACP across multiple switches?. I have 2 x24 ports and 4x 48 ports. The 48 ports switches connect are to be connected to the 24 port switches and those 2 connect to each other via 10g interconnects.
I was hoping i could connect 2 links from each 48 port switch to a port in each of the 24 port switch.
Is this possible?.
Thanks.

Distributed LACP does not work on a 2910. The only thing you can do is connect one 2910 using LACP to mulitple switches that are stacked together using IRF (by example 5500, 7500, 5820, ...).

Re: LACP across multiple switches. 2910al
But since i have 2 core switches, each with 2 10g interconnects and configured with LACP, i could enable STP on this 2 switches and connect the edge switches to the core switches without causing a broadcast storm, correct?

Yes, you can do that. I would suggest you use RSTP or MSTP. Mind the spanning tree priority!
