PEO Malfunction

Hello,

I have a switch HP 5130-24G-PoE+-4SFP+ (370W) EI JG936A with 1 Processor.

I have two kind of Camera Mobotix: one with one eyes M252m and the other one with 2 eyes D15D.

My problem is with the camera Mobotix D15D-Sec, when I plugin into the switch the IEEE Class still in 1 but in the side of the camera is set it Class 3, because this camera need more power.

Can you help me how to create a new profil that I obligtate the port 10 his IEEE Class will be 3.

The boot-loader is 5130ei-cmw710-boot-r3109p07. I have tried with 5130ei-cmw710-boot-r3113p05.bin but it doesn't work

Thank you very much for your help.

Re: PEO Malfunction

Hi! firstly I suggest you to correct this thread's title: PEO means nothing, it should eventually be "PoE+ Malfunction" despite you can't really say a-priori the issue you're experiencing is really due to a Switch PoE+ issue since it could easily be related to a configuration issue or a PD (Powered Device) issue. At least without further investigation/diagonstic.

So first of all can you post the outputs of display versiondisplay poe pse, display poe device and display poe interface CLI commands?

PSE has its own firmware. Latest is 145 (Release Notes here).

What didn't worked exactly? the upgrade attempt (from R3109P07 to R3113P05) or the supply of PoE+ to your Mobotix powered device on the newer R3113P05?

In any case latest isn't R3113P05 (August 2016) but it is R3506P02 (January 2020)...so I don't understand the step from R3109P07 (August 2015) to that R3113P05 version when the latest software release available for your switch is four years younger. Check here.

If I were you I'll first be sure that my switch is up-to-date (both Cowmare 7 Application Firmware and PSE Firmware) and then I would check the configuration on the ports used for your Mobotix [*] powered devices' connections (especially the PD Detection Mode feature introduced with R3208P12 software release).

On the Mobotix cameras the Power over Ethernet (Power Supply) settings are corrects in terms of PoE Class?

[*] Mobotix M25M (and not Mobotix M252m which doesn't exist at all) and Mobotix D15D.
