Port mirroring 5500 EI
We mirror ports on a switch to record phone calls. Previously we did VLAN our VoIP traffic from our data traffic We asre changing that at this time. Since I VLAN'd our call center we cannot record any calls that coming in from our other locations. The call recording software uses a capture port that has no IP config to it and all ports in both directions are mirrored to the monitor port. I can see traffic from the remote phones but not from the local phones. I have to have the audio packets of the local phones to do the recording. But the local audio packets do not appear in my capture while the rest of the packets used to build the call do. The Protocol is the old NBX protocol and SIP.
Any and all ideas and suggestions are welcome.
