Hi.
I need recover boot menu password on 3Com Switch 4500 (3CR17562-91)

Before any other action, backup the configuration file. Edit the file changing the password you want, then save it with a different name than the default.
Reboot the switch, press CTRL+B and choose the option to ignore the saved configuration file.
Through a TFTP server connected to the switch, upload the .cfg file that you has changed. In the boot-loader options, choose the saved-configuraton file pointing to the new one that you uploaded. It's done.
Another procedure is that you can upload the file with no changes, then change the password manually on the console and save the new password overwriting the existing settings, using the uploaded file.
