Switch A5800 with irf interface vlan 1 problem
Hi,
I recently configured two hp A5820 switches with irf and configured all required vlans, we daily poweroff our network, when we power them on the next morning no one can access any thing.
I have to shutdown interface vlan 1 and then un shut for the network to work and pcs start seeing each other.
What could be the problem?

Re: Switch A5800 with irf interface vlan 1 problem
Hi sandore
Of course, this shouldn't happen. Please provide more information. e.g. configuration or network design.

Re: Switch A5800 with irf interface vlan 1 problem
Hi,
We have two A5820 switches connected to each other through 4 irf links in each switch, we have 3 vlan (Vlan 1, 7, 20.30,40) with routing between them.
We have 3com 4200g switches connected through 10g fiber, each switch has two xfp ports, each port is connected to the A5820 (one for each switch) for redunduncy.
Its a star topology and its simple.
I attached the default.diag file.
Thanks

Re: Switch A5800 with irf interface vlan 1 problem
You are logging in 70s after the system restarts and shutting down VLAN1.
The switch hasn't even finished restarting when you're doing that.

Re: Switch A5800 with irf interface vlan 1 problem
I don't think so because I shutdown vlan 1 after about 30 minutes from switch startup

Re: Switch A5800 with irf interface vlan 1 problem
When you say "no one can access anything", are you referring to PCs that are patched directly to this switch or on access switches elsewhere?
What about devices with static ip addresses?
What does the IP configuration of the PCs look like when they are "not working"?
