switch stacking for 5800AF-48G
Hi
I am new to HP switches . I have a 5800AF-48G at customer location and I wish to stack the same to enable me 48+48 ports . My questionsa re :
1) Is stacking in HP different from cisco / extreme . Is there a well defined ppt / doc explaining the same in 5800AF-48G
2) Can you please let me know that part number of stack cable that I need to order please .
Looking for your response.
Thanks

Re: switch stacking for 5800AF-48G
Hi, the HPE FlexFabric 5800 Switch Series uses the IRF (Intelligent Resilient Framework) technology to create a Virtual Switch by means of "frontplane stacking" using SFP+ [*] ports (see IRF Configuration Guide for restrictions and guidelines).
No Stacking Modules and Stacking Cables are needed because no Stacking Modules and Stacking Cables exist since there is IRF.
HPE FlexFabric 5800 Switch Series QuickSpecs is here.
HPE FlexFabric 5800 Switch Series web page is here.
HPE FlexFabric 5800 Switch Series Datasheet is here.
HPE FlexFabric 5800 Switch Series Information Library here (look specifically for its IRF Configuration Guide here).
