traceroute ipv6 source address can not be specified
Hello,
it doesn't seem to be possible to set the source address for a traceroute for IPv6, is it? For IPv4 it is possible:
[switch-01]tracert ?
-a Select source IP address
-f First time to live
-m Maximum time to live
-p UDP port number
-q Number of probe packets
-tos Specify TOS value
-vpn-instance Specify VPN-Instance of MPLS VPN
-w Timeout in milliseconds to wait for each reply
STRING<1-255> IP address or hostname of a remote system
ipv6 IPv6 Protocol
lsp LSP traceroute
[switch-01]tracert ipv6 ?
-f First Hop Limit
-m Maximum Hop Limit
-p Destination UDP port number
-q Number of probe packets
-tos Specify Traffic Class value
-vpn-instance Specify a VPN instance
-w Timeout in milliseconds to wait for each reply
STRING<1-255> Hostname/ IPv6 address
Cheers,
Thomas

Re: traceroute ipv6 source address can not be specified
Same goes for A5820X-24XG-SFP+ running latest 1808P16, no option to select source interface.
However doing "tracert ipv6?" I do have the ability to select "vpn-interface" (aka vrf) BUT there is no way to configure "vpn-interface" on this device (at least not according to "system-view" unless im missing something).
So I guess you need to get in contact with HP Support to file this as a feature request.
