3CRUS2475 + A7760. Problem with managing mode
I have switch 3Com Unified Gigabit Wireless PoE Switch 24 (3CRUS2475, 01.01.14_sh) and three Wi-Fi A7760 (3CRWE776075) access point in managed mode. I need to add another three points A7760 (JD015A). I set them on a managed mode, reboot, but in the "Device Summary [Wireless]" they are not added and there is no access by IP address. Access to them only appears after a reset to factory settings. How can i set up managed mode, on this equipment. Please Help Me with solving this problem.

Re: 3CRUS2475 + A7760. Problem with managing mode
Are they connected directly to the switch the discovery process is only on layer 2 unless you have added DNSrecords to find the Unified Switch.

Re: 3CRUS2475 + A7760. Problem with managing mode
Hi,
What you need to do is the following on the 7760:
1) Whilst in standalone mode, web-browse to the unit and install the attached FIT firmware.
2) Once the unit has re-booted now web-browse to it again and change it from standalone mode to managed mode.
3) Now serial to the unit , and when it starts up, you can define the IP address of the controller.
(Use a standard serial cable, set your machine to the default 9600,8, none, 1,none settings)
The 7760 will now be able to contact the controller, so log onto the controller and activate the AP.
Hope this helps.

Re: 3CRUS2475 + A7760. Problem with managing mode
Hi,
I'm having the same problem also! I've done as suggested by Tam1234 using Putty to serial to the 7760. However, after the system boots I am presented with "Press ENTER to get started." However, no keyboard commands are accepted. By this I mean, pressing keys has no effect, as if there is no keyboard communation at all.
Any ideas? See below for the complete output:
boot-shim startup...
normal reset
System is starting...
Booting Normal Extend BootWare......
The Extend BootWare is self-decompressing.............Done!
