cannot detect AP 7760 in Wireless controller

Hello,

Is it necessary to convert the AP to Fit , before that the controller H3C wx 3024can managed It or the wireless controller can manage the Fat AP also.

In the Wireless controller When I use the AP setup Mode to AUTO, can’t detect the AP

Please any idea about what cause the issue

You have to convert it to Fit and also make sure the correct fit firmware for this AP is in the flash of the AC (should be wa2100.bin)

For you AP, hard reset it (press the reset button for 5 sec, and connect directly to it, the default IP is 169.254.2.2, access the GUI (default user admin and password is password)

Then download the "managed software" for your AP, it is available in HP website, and uploaded to the AP, after it is done go to "System Configuration" then "System Properites" and undet "Startup Mode" choose "Managed" and then click "apply"  and reboot the AP then connect it to the network in the same VLAN as the controller and make sure there is a DHCP server, it should work fine after that.

issue the command "displat wlan ap all" and check by the serial number if it was discovered.
