HP wireless system - A versus E series?
Hi,
I still need a new wireless system with centralized WLAN controllers.Around 90 access points for the beginning, 802.11n, dual band.
The problem with HP? Well, two series. Which to choose from? Which will be supported within the next years? Which one will be dropped?
So, what do we have:
- Colubris based:
The MSM460 with 3x3:3 MIMO looks nice. Let´s take a 5400zl base with a E-MSM765zl controller and you have lifetime warranty for hardware. Also the E-series is cheaper than A-series
- H3C based:
WA2620E with "only" 3x3:2 MIMO. HP A-WX5004 would be the controller. Advantages: This is based on Comware 5.2 ... Also, there must be a reason why HP bought 3Com/H3C. You don´t buy something and afterwards throw that thing away, don´t you?
Disadvantage: More expensive and no lifetime warranty. Only 1 year on the controller and the access points.
I haven´t found any reviews or comparisons between those. So, what solution would you prefer? Which one should I chose? Which one will survive within the future? What experience do you have?

Re: HP wireless system - A versus E series?
Currently I have both and for the money I would get the E-Series as it is the product line HP bought just for wIreless from Colubris, the A-Series came with the 3Com purchase. Both have similar features the upside of the E-700 series is you can buy a second controller and team them together (with a additonal license).
