Re: Reset HP 830 to factory settings
Hello,
You will need a console cable in order to reset the device to factory defaults
You can login to the CLI of the controller engine and enter
<HP>reset saved-configuration
<HP>reboot
Of course once you have accessed the console interface, you can troubleshoot your configuration. If you have identified which settings has locked you out you can adjust it.
So there may be no need to reset the whole configuration.
The console port connects you directly with the controller engine. If you need to check or reset the config of the switching engine you can switch to the console of the switch with the following command.
<HP>oap connect slot 0
Ctrl+K brings you back to the controller console.

Re: Reset HP 830 to factory settings
I have a same problem. I want to reset as factory setting.
I am not really good in computer field. Would you let me know how to reset as beginer level?
I can't use for more than 7month since I bought.
I have a console cable. I may use one computer only to print with T830.
Thank you very much!!

Re: Reset HP 830 to factory settings
I have an 830 switch and I'd like to reset to factory default. The preivious employee deleted more than he should have and now I cannot login or do anything to the switch. If I could just reload the original software it would solve my issue
