Hello everyone,
I work in a university and since Windows 10 become popular, I received some information about connection issues. But when the local help desk team installed Windows 10 on 8 notebooks Dell of a lab, the issues really appears: the notebook connect on a wi-fi network (secure or insecure), after some minutes it disconnects and disable all network cards (wireless lan and lan). Its necessary shutdown the notebook and stay out the range of the AP, for thenturn it on and reconnect the wi-fi network.
After some analisys, I discovered that when the notebooks Dell are connected on the same AP, the issue occurs. In some cases, the AP crashes and a reboot is necessary.
Some troubleshooting steps I've already done:
- Update notebook wireless adapter and BIOS
- Create a new wireless network and force 2,4GHz frequency
- Change bandwidth mode on AP radio, for test
- Change 2,4GHz Excluded Channel, to include 3 and 9 channels, for test
Bellow the information about my equipaments:
2 Controllers - H3C WX5004, software version release 2507P51
AP - HP MSM460-BR
Notebook - Dell Inspirion 15 serie 3000, wireless adapter Atheros Dell Wireless 1705 2,4GHz
Thanks for your advices,
Best regards,
Fernando
