Wireless 7760 IAPP and Channel Settings

Do the Wireless 7760 11a/b/g Access Points configured with IAPP require the access points(3) to be on the same channel, or does it not matter? We are running them in WPA2 mode with Radius authentication. The firmware version 1.6.45. I've gotten conflicting sources of information and would like to get this cleared up. Thanks!
