WX4400 - Communication with AP

Hi,

We have inherited an old WX4400.  We need to change the DHCP scope given out to clients from the Wireless network.

If I do this do I need to make changes to the WX4400 Controller's IP configuration?

I ask this because if I change scope none of the AP's will register.  They are all in the "down" status.

I presume these AP are in FIT mode so are totally managed by the Controller.  Do they take a DHCP assigned address to enable communication with the Controller?

Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks

Re: WX4400 - Communication with AP

Hi,

dhcp is just an "enablement" function of your IP plan. So if you change the dhcp scopes, the actual gateway or hosts with fixed IP must also be updated.

I assume this is the case for your controller, but the post does not have enough information.

Please post a cleaned config of your controller and/or core switch, plus dhcp roles, so it can be identified which devices has which role in the network,

Best regards,Peter.
