Re: Anyone have a way to add the VG name to a EVAINFO output?

avizen9 .. Thanks, but no help in there ..

I have evainfo, my issue is not associating WWN's with Disk LUNS, but I need to associate the WWN's with the VGname. I was thinking about thislast night, I can possibly use the output of a "strings /etc/lvmtab" since the vgname is in there along with the disk lun which is a common key in both this output and the output of "evainfo". That's the area I'm getting stuck on. If I can match on the key (Disk name) that I can possibly copy the vgname from "strings /etc/lvmtab" to the evainfo output.

It may be easier to do this if I convert the multi line output of "strings /etc/lvmtab"

/dev/vg00
/dev/dsk/c0t6d0
/dev/dsk/c3t6d0

to one line per vgname disk1 disk2 disk3

/dev/vg00 /dev/dsk/c0t6d0 /dev/dsk/c3t6d0

Hi,
attached is a small script which will do that. You may need to specify the location of the evainfo tool in the script.
The script will distinguish between HP-UX 11.31 and others, for 11.31 agile devices are shown.
The output is csv format.
