Assigning Controller while creating LUN
Hi all,
Is there a way we can assign a LUN to be owned by a particular controller while creating the LUN in EVA.
Suppose i want to create 2 LUNs i want one LUN to be owned by Controller A and the second by Controller B

Re: Assigning Controller while creating LUN
Hello,
of course - it is done in Command View when you are presenting vdisk to servers.
so:
1. create vdisk according your need
2. add host (if not done already)
3. present vdisks to host and choose ownership of vdisk during presentation process.

Re: Assigning Controller while creating LUN
Hello Thomas,
The preferred path/mode setting for each LUN will define which controller would manage the LUN. The default is "no preference" which will make the EVA decide on ownership of LUN.

Re: Assigning Controller while creating LUN
Yes, you can do it while you create a virtual disk.
Press [Create Vdisk] and enter the data in the "Basic Settings" area as usual.
Then scroll down to "Advanced Settings".
And select from "Preferred path/mode:"
The default is [no preference].
