Booting from EVA 5000 to IBM pSeries servers
Hello,
Did anybody managed to boot an IBM pSeries / AIX 5.2 server from an EVA5000 box connected via SAN switches ?
If yes, which HBAs were used ?
Many thanks in advance for any tip.
Sorin

Re: Booting from EVA 5000 to IBM pSeries servers
Hi,
My documentation says there is no boot support for AIX on the EVA 5000 (only for Windows, Tru64 Unix and OpenVMS). I am not sure if this means that booting is not possible or only that it is not supported (but may work as unsupported).

Re: Booting from EVA 5000 to IBM pSeries servers
Our IBM boxes all have internal boot drives, and put the rest of the system on the SAN. I think that this is because the securepath multi-pathing software is an added layer, and not an integral part of the firmware.
