Can't add online spare?

I have a smart-2DH controller with 3 attached drives configured in a RAID5 container, I want to add a 4th drive to the chain and make it an online spare. How can I do this?

Make sure your controller firmware is up to date. Run the ACU and add the 4th drive as an online spare.
