Connecting external DLT to SA 3200 in an ML530

I have an ML530 running NT, 6 x 9.1 GB HDD (RAID 0+1) array connected to internal SCSI Port 1 on the SA 3200. I am trying to connect a DLT 35/70 to the external SCSI Port 2 (id 6) of the SA 3200, but keep getting a POST 1723 error. Any idea's?

Compaq Smart array controllers do not support any media other than hard drives. Tape drives are not a supported option run that guy off your embedd scsi controller. That is your best option because evevn if it worked it would be trouble at best.
