connecting intel blade system with mini x4 external sas connector to EVA 4400
Hi,
I have an intel blade system which has got six diskless compute modules and an integrated SAN. the installed intel storage controller supports
Expansion to connect an external SAS RAID array through a mini x4 external SAS port to allow sharing of external storage with all server compute modules
http://www.intel.com/Products/Server/Modular-Server/Storage-Controller/Storage-Controller-overview.htm
However, I wanted to be able to connect it to an EVA 4400 SAN. There is no expansion option available in the server compute modules to install an FC HBA card.
What is the best solution to achieve the desired connectivity?

I have not heard about a FC/SAS bridge...
Sounds like you have to put a NAS head (CIFS/NFS) or a FC/iSCSI gateway (if you need block access) between the EVA and the blades (which OS is involed, btw?).
