Re: Creating a LUN on VA7410
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/products/disk_arrays/midrange/va7410/index.html
If you follow the 'technical documentation' link on the right side and then 'manuals (guides, supplements, addendums, etc)' [my, isn't web navigation fun?] you should end up here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&locale=en_US&docIndexId=179911&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=89018
I beleive that is enough for some bedtime reading ;-)

Re: Creating a LUN on VA7410
Redundancy Group should be either 1 or 2. Alternate between these for the best performance. I usually put all the odd numbered luns on group 1 and all the even numbers on group 2. It makes it easier to remember for me that way.
The size should be a number followed by a qualifier, eg. 100M = 100 Megabytes; 100G = 100 Gigabytes.
