Creating a LUN on VA7410

Please tell how to create a LUN on VA7410 HP Sure store storage system using which software tools?

Are there any manuals available for knowledge gathering on this?

John,

The easiest tool to use is cvui. If installed properly just type cvui.
This will load the Commandview manager utility. From there it is straightforward
on how to add a lun. If you need some more direction don't hesitate to ask.

armcfg -L -a -g cara1

Redundancy Group should be either 1 or 2. Alternate between these for the best performance. I usually put all the odd numbered luns on group 1 and all the even numbers on group 2. It makes it easier to remember for me that way.

The size should be a number followed by a qualifier, eg. 100M = 100 Megabytes; 100G = 100 Gigabytes.
