						Hi All,
I have 12h unit with 8 disks. Two LUNs have 5 and 2 disk respectively and they work with d270 server (VG01). The other disk work with another server (a500-VG02) through one LUN. My doubt is: in this situation, my A500 data is safely considering if I lost de disk? In other words, if I lost a disk from VG01, the array will distribute de data to other disks in the system, but I don't know what will take place if it occur with disk from VG02.
Thanx.

All of your data will be spread out across all the disks. Contrary to what you think, you don't have specific luns assigned to specific disks in the Autoraid. Each LUN has a device file of something like c0t0d? where the d? is the lun number. If you lose a single disk in the array, all your data will be safe. You can just replace the disk and the array will rebuild and you will then be back to optimal performance.

						after about 18hours of rebuild...
You might want to look at rebuild priorities and AutoInclude features of the array from SAM.
Later,
Bill
