dl380g5, 6400 array card, storageworks array - no physicall disks!
i have :
- hp server, dl380 g5
- p6400 smart array card
- storage works array
connected, ofcourse, through scsi
the problem is:
the card has no F8 option during startup. so i downloaded offline smartarray hp boot cd and booted.
during startup all of the disks, in storage, are correctly listed, but when i come in ACU gui utility i only see the controller (correctly) but it says that no physical disks are connected (?!?)
i also tried, installed windows as a host (one time plain and one time through smartstart), installed acu utility and it shows the same.
but windows recognize disks - not as an araay but each one individually
also, esxi, recoginzes disks
also, battery is not ok anymore, and it says that cache is not configured (this i dont understand?)
what can i do?

Re: dl380g5, 6400 array card, storageworks array - no physicall disks!
Press <F8> to run the Option ROM Configuration for Arrays Utility
the controller is either disabled or has failed.
What disk chassis model is connected?
MSA20? MSA30? ...
An ADU report would be nice to see.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
