DS2100 Enclosure consumes SCSI IDs?

The disk module SCSI addresses are fixed by slot position. There are no jumper settings required.

Each drive requires a SCSI ID, a four-bit address defined as SCSI ID (3:0). The SCSI ID0 and SCSI ID3 bits are controlled by an A-B-C slide switch located at the rear of the enclosure. Each enclosure must have a unique Box ID on a given SCSI
channel.

The A,B,C slider is there so that if you daisy-chain 2 or 3 DS2100s, you set them different SCSI IDs through that slider.

A -> 0, 2, 4, 6
B -> 8, 10, 12, 14
C -> 9, 11, 13, 15

These are the SCSI IDs in order of disk.

Thanks vincent, but I don't know if the DS2100 itself consumes SCSI ID0 OR SCSI ID3 through slide swith.

Hello,

Follow the SCSI IDs I've given you.

If you slide it to A, ID0 is consumed. But, ID3 is never consumed by either A, B or C.

So slide it on B or C and you should be fine.
