We have installed six 18Gb disks in to the remaining slots on our two SC10 enclosures which are attached via an FC60. Although amdsp shows the new disks as unassigned all attempts to create LUNS with the disks fail even if we use SAM or amcfg -
instinet:root:/> amcfg -V -L A:3 -d 3:0,4:0,3:1 -r 5 -s 16 -force OURFC60
GetState() command received
GetState() command started
GetState() command complete
CreateLUN(3, 0, 0, 5, 16) command received
CreateLUN(3, 0, 0, 5, 16) command started
CreateLUN(3, 0, 0, 5, 16) command complete
Error in command execution, "RMT_AM60ERRORSTATUS_MSG"
AM60ERR : ERR_COMMAND_FAILED
AM60ERR QUAL : CREATE_LUN
MODULE_CODE_ID : SUBSYSTEM
COMMAND STATE : A SCSI error occurred
ERROR NUMBER : 2
Sense Key = 0x05: "ILLEGAL REQUEST"
Additional Sense Code = 0x26
Additional Sense Code Qual = 0x00
FRU Code = 0x30
Decoded SCSI Sense:
Invalid Field in Parameter List
amcfg: Error in command execution
Anyone able to help ?
