Error notification on failed drive with integrated netraid
Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to receive some sort of notification when a drive fails (or something else goes wrong). This is no problem with a separate netraid controller like a netraid 1M, but with an integrated netraid controller like on the LH3000 this is much harder (impossible?).
There is no buzzer on the lh3000 (unlike the netraid 1M). The lights on the server are oke, but what if you are not in the same room of the server?
Any ideas for a notification program? I do not want a program I should watch all day long. By preference something that sends me a mail of other sort of message.
Thankyou.
