Estimated Time for Resizing RAID on MSA1500
Hi,
I want to resize my RAID on a MSA1500 with 2 MSA30 from 13 to 22 Disks. My experiences when I resize the RAID with 4 disks, it takes one week just for resizing, and more time move the data.
Do I have to expect the same ratio?
What can I do to speed it up?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Estimated Time for Resizing RAID on MSA1500
Hi Ralf,
You can set the expand prority to high for the MSA controller via ACU, the default setting is low.. please note that if you set the expand prority to high it will impact host i/o performance as the controller will prioritise the disk i/o for the expand/extension operation.

Re: Estimated Time for Resizing RAID on MSA1500
Hi,
thanks for your answer.
Meanwhile, I saw that I overlook a fault:
In an array with RAID-level 5, at maximum 14 HDD's are allowed. So it makes no sense to expand to 22 disks.
