EVA 4400 max DR group vdisks

The p6000 compatibility matrix shows that the maximum number of vdisks in all DR group on 4400 array is 128 in total. My question is Can one create more than this limit or is this by any way hardcoded into the firmware in such a way that the limit cannot be exceeded.  I am looking to replicate 2 x EVA 4400 connected to same fabric switches locally (so no latency or distance considerartion) . The idea is just to have full copy of the production EVA on a backup EVA while the prod EVA is being relocated. so performance is not an issue.
