EVA4400: FATA or FC for Oracle archived redo logs?
I'm not an Oracle expert but it seems the archived redo logs are probably copied every few minutes when the online redo log fills up. Since it's not continuously writing, I was thinking it might be a candidate for FATA drives with their 30% duty cycle.
We'd probably end up with one archive partition on FATA and a mirror on FC. Any thoughts?
This is Oracle 11g, RAC, 2 nodes, ASM, on Linux.

I've no actual experience of this, but I would be wary of using FATA drives...
Cheers,
Rob
