greater than 4TB SAN volume on Windows server

We have a disk on a Windows 2003 server that is an EVA 5000 SAN attached volume. The disk is 3.8TB's in size. It is made up of a 2TB SAN volume and a 1.8TB SAN volume on the EVA5000. These two volumes are spanned on the server side.

It is looking like it will definitely need to grow over 4TB. Is it supported to create another SAN volume and span across this disk on the server side? - effectively spanning across three SAN volumes on the server side

Ben:

You should be able to add an additional spanned LUN to your existing Spanned Volume. Windows 2003 Disk Management is decently flexible.

You can, if this volume is dynamic mode. Spanned volume can claime new volume (Vdisk) from EVA
