SAS Array B contains:
Logical Drive 2 (279.4 GB, RAID 0)
Additionally I have added a matching HDD that is recognized in ACU as:
300 GB 2-Port SAS Unassigned Drive at Port 1I : Box 1 : Bay 4
What are the steps to combine the existing Logical Drive 2 with the Unassigned Drive to make Logical Drive 2 a RAID 1?
Solved! Go to Solution.

SolutionYou have to first expand the logical drive 2 to span across the HDD that you have added. Once this is complete you can migrate the RAID 0 volume to RAID 1.
i.e
step 1: expand logical drive 2
step 2: Migrate logical drive 2 from RAID 0 to RAID 1.
You can look for the exact commands to do this in the tool you use to manage and configure the array.

Re: Have RAID 0 array. Want RAID 1 array.
It was not necessary to upgrade the controller with a battery for this to work.
Thank you!
