HP D2600 Storage Question
Hey, I have been trying to find the answer here and in the spec sheet but have been unsuccessful.
I have a few 3.5" 10tb drives I would like to put into a D2600 enclosure attached to a DL380 g7. Does the D2600 support these large drives and would it support all 12 bays being filled with 10tb drives?

Re: HP D2600 Storage Question
Hi Sutleasti
The HPE D2600 is an external disk storage enclosure that supports both SAS and SATA drives. According to the HPE QuickSpecs for the D2600, it is compatible with 3.5" LFF (Large Form Factor) SAS and SATA drives, including 10TB drives.
Therefore, you should be able to install 10TB drives in the D2600 enclosure. The enclosure supports up to 12 LFF drives, so you can fill all 12 bays with 10TB drives if you choose to do so.
However, it is important to note that the maximum storage capacity supported by the DL380 G7 server may be limited by its RAID controller and firmware. Therefore, it is recommended to verify the maximum supported capacity with the server's documentation or by contacting HPE support before attempting to install large-capacity drives in the D2600 enclosure.
Additionally, it is important to ensure that the DL380 G7 server has sufficient power and cooling to support 12 large-capacity drives in the D2600 enclosure. Make sure that the server's power supply units can handle the additional load and that the cooling system is adequate to keep the drives at a safe operating temperature.
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh.
