Could you explain me what is the difference
between HSV Element Manager and HSG Element
Manager? Is it possible to work with HSG
Element Manager on HP EVA 5000 StorageWorks?

The short answer is NO!!!

The HSG element manager allows you to manages the SPINDLES in your HSG(80?) controllers.

The HSV manager manages SPACE in the EVA.

They are two different versions of storage controllers, and they access the disks in radically different formats.

I second Mike.

HSG Element manager is to manage G80 storages devices i.e. G80 Controller based storages.

HSV Element manager is to manage HSV Storages
devices i.e. HSV controller based Storages.

In order to work HSG element manager on EVA ,it should get discoverd under element manager and this will never happen.

So this config is not possible.
