does MSCA 1000 support hp controler Ultra 320 scsi? if yes, is there any performance issue?

Hi,

for MSAs above 500 G2(1000+) you need fibre channel HBA, so no scsi connection is possible.

i am interrested in the internal controler of the msa 1000. Does the msa 1000 can have Ultra 320 scsi has his internal controler

The MSA1000 supports Ultra320 disks, but the controller interface is only Ultra 3.
It has 4 channels, 2 to the embeded disk enclosure, and 2 external.

From the MSA1000 Quickspecs:

Interface:
- Ultra3 SCSI to Hard Drives
- 2 Gb Fibre Channel to Hosts

MSA1000 supports HP Universal 1" Ultra2, Ultra3 and Ultra320 drives
