Hello,
I try to create logical drives bigger than 2TB with HP array configuration on a MSA20(RAID5 array on 6x500GB SATA drives) connected to a DL 360g3 with Smart Array 6400 but no chance.
I suspect the SCSI limitatin but it's a way to overcome this with another SCSI controller, firmware or I have to move to another interface ex.SAS?
Thank you in advance
Cip

Re: Logical Drives size on MSA20?
Hi,
With SCSI based controllers you are limited to 2TB...
If you can't manage by creating multiple smaller logical drives and combining them at the (unspecified) OS level, then you will have to move to a SAS based SmartArray controller.
Cheers,
Rob
