M5214 disk enclosure 245307-002 + Emulex LP9002

Hello,

This unit is driving me crazy! I have both ports from the Emulex card connected to port A on the M5214. When I insert a FC disk into the first slot the error light on the tray flashes wildly! Have I missed something?

What do I need to do to gain access to this one 146GB FC disk drive?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,

I'm not sure you can do what you're trying.

The M5214 enclosure is (as far as I'm aware) only for use when connected to the HSV controllers of an EVA. I don't think they can be used to allow direct access to the disks.
