Re: Major Differences between XP and EVA Storages ?
1. XP has much more front ports then EVA
2. EVA has better virtualization then XP
3. XP is cache oriented 256GB, EVA disk oriented (cache is 8GB)
4. the core components interconnected by crossbar (XP), EVA uses dual controllers
5. XP has much more of everything then EVA, e.g.
physical disks 1152/240, front ports 224/8,
LUNs 65280/2048, cache 256GB/8GB, etc.

Re: Major Differences between XP and EVA Storages ?
Feed the whole subject line to google and hit 'i feel lucky' to get for example:
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1032250
For general purposes comparisons just visit the Hp.com/storage and drill down.
If you like to better understand specific capacity, functionality, performance, connectivity differences, then I'm sure folks here will try to help.
Regards,
Hein.

Re: Major Differences between XP and EVA Storages ?
1. Cost
2. Capacity
3. Performance
4. Manageability
5. Support
6. Upgradability
7. Interfacing
8. Internal design
9. Software
10. Features and capabilities
11. etc. etc.
Each one of these areas can be a large topic on its own.
Pick any of the models in
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/storage/disk_storage/index.html
and look at the "quickspecs" link.
