messages in syslog
I have the following message in syslog.log. Can anyone tell me what is generating this?
sdisk_exec[1290]: Drive on device path (8/8.8.0.255.0.0.0) having problems **REPLACE ASAP**

Re: messages in syslog
It sounds like it could be generated from the sdisk driver but I've never seen such a message before.
What is process 1290? this seems to be the process that produced it.

Re: messages in syslog
From appearances, it is telling you to replace a drive. Is this some type of array?
If so, what does the array info indicate? Is there a fail-over that has taken place?

Re: messages in syslog
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes, this is an array, but no errors or failovers were documented in the array log. My feeling is that this is a custom monitoring routine - I'm not on-site so I can't be sure.
